Born in Belleville Ontario, Chris moved
to Vancouver as a teenager in the 60s and attended the
Vancouver School of Art (now the Emily Carr Institute
of Design) and played drums in the popular west coast
psychedelic blues band My Indole
Ring. The band was a
regular fixture at The Retinal Circus in Vancouver
and opened for visiting acts including The
Velvet Underground,
The Doors, Muddy Waters, Junior
Wells and Bo Diddley.
Chris is an award-winning art director and designer
whose credits include Maclean's
Magazine, Vancouver Magazine,
Western Living Magazine and Trek – The
Magazine of the University of British Columbia.
An accomplished artist, his work can be found in the
collections of the Vancouver Art Gallery, The National
Gallery, Canada Council Art Bank, The City of Vancouver
and numerous private collections. The artwork included
in this site is available for purchase unless otherwise
